Sistem Pendukung Keputusan untuk Penentuan Melaut bagi Nelayan Selat Bengkalis Menggunakan Metode SMART

Fishermen in the Bengkalis Strait are highly dependent on natural conditions, such as weather, tides, and water conditions, to determine their time to go to sea. This uncertainty often leads to incorrect decisions that result in losses. This study aims to develop a decision support system to help fishermen determine their time to go to sea more accurately. The method used is the Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) with several criteria tailored to the water conditions of the Bengkalis Strait. The system was developed using a prototype method to suit the fishermen's needs. Test results showed a system accuracy rate of 78,71% when compared to manual assessments of fishermen. These results indicate that the system can be used as a tool in decision-making when going to sea to minimize the risk of loss.
