Rancang Bangun Aplikasi Donasi Barang Bekas Mahasiswa Berbasis Web

Students at Bengkalis State Polytechnic often have used items that are still suitable for use, such as boarding house furniture, clothing, books, and electronic devices. However, the management of these donated items was previously not supported by a structured system. Donation information was generally shared through social media groups such as WhatsApp, resulting in scattered information and undocumented donation records. In addition, the temporary nature of students' needs causes many usable items to remain unused after students graduate or return to their hometowns. Based on these problems, a Web-Based Student Used Goods Donation Application was developed using the Waterfall software development method. The application was built using the PHP programming language with the Laravel framework and MySQL as the database management system. The application provides features for donation item management, item searching, donation request submission, category management, item verification by administrators, donation history recording, and PDF-based donation report generation for documentation purposes. The testing results indicate that all main application features function properly according to user requirements. Therefore, the application provides a more structured donation process, centralizes donation information, maintains well-documented donation records, and promotes social awareness among students by encouraging the reuse of usable items.
