Rancang Bangun Aplikasi Presensi Peserta Magang Berbasis Web Dengan Foto Selfie Dan Penentuan Lokasi Menggunakan Geolocation

The Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Office (DISKOMINFOTIK) of Bengkalis Regency does not yet have an attendance system for internship participants, causing difficulties in compiling activity reports, minimal discipline control, and subjective assessment without comprehensive documentation. This research aims to develop a web-based internship attendance application integrating selfie photo and geolocation technologies to improve recording accuracy and minimize potential fraud. The Waterfall model was used as the development method, with the system built using Laravel, PHP, and MySQL. The system applies GPS for location validation within a 50-meter radius and a camera feature for attendance verification through selfie photos. The result is a web-based application with three user roles (Admin, Supervisor, and Internship Participant) providing clock-in/clock-out attendance, account management, leave/sick permission submission, daily activity logs, and report generation in PDF and Excel formats. With this system, participants no longer need manual attendance forms or to recall past attendance, as all data is recorded in real time, structured, and easily accessible.
