Abstract
Water level control is an important aspect of maintaining the stability and safety of a system, particularly to prevent water overflow when the water level exceeds the predetermined limit. This research aims to design and implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Water Level PID Controller Monitoring System using an ultrasonic sensor, NodeMCU ESP8266, LCD, and Blynk application. The ultrasonic sensor is used to measure the distance between the sensor and the water surface, while the NodeMCU ESP8266 functions as a data processor and transmits the measurement results to the Blynk application through a Wi-Fi network. The PID method is applied to maintain the water level stability according to the predetermined setpoint. The test results show that the system is capable of monitoring the water level in real time through the LCD and Blynk application. Based on the ultrasonic sensor testing, the average error was 9.8 %, with an accuracy level of 90.2 %. The comparison between the Blynk application and LCD displays showed a difference of 0.3 cm in the water distance measurement, with Blynk displaying 20 cm and the LCD displaying 20.3 cm.
