Drying is an important stage in shrimp paste production because it directly affects quality and shelf life. Small-scale producers in Sungai Alam Village still rely on sun-drying, which is weather-dependent, takes 4–10 days, and produces inconsistent quality. This study aims to design and develop a shrimp paste dryer using incandescent lamps and a glass collector as a more effective alternative. The research includes identification, design, fabrication, assembly, and performance testing. The dryer measures 150 × 100 × 50 cm, using six 40 W incandescent lamps as heat source and a glass collector to retain heat. Results show the dryer maintains stable temperature of 53.6°C, within optimal range. It shortens drying time to 8 hours, works regardless of weather, and provides a simple, low-cost solution for small-scale producers
