Abstract
This study aims to design and develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring and speed control system for a single-phase induction motor using the Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) method. The system is developed to facilitate real-time monitoring and control of motor speed, thereby improving the efficiency and stability of motor operation according to the desired setpoint,The system employs an ESP32 microcontroller as the main controller, an Omron E6B2- CWZ6C 360 P/R encoder as the speed sensor, a Frequency-to-Voltage (F/V) module to convert frequency signals into analog voltage, and an AC Dimmer to regulate the motor speed. The motor speed data are processed using the PID algorithm, displayed on a 16×2 I2C LCD, and transmitted to the Blynk application, allowing users to monitor and control the system remotely through the internet,The results show that the proposed system is capable of measuring the motor speed accurately, controlling the motor speed according to the desired setpoint using the PID controller, and providing real-time monitoring through the Blynk application. Therefore, the developed system offers an effective solution for remote monitoring and stable speed control of a single-phase induction motor based on IoT
