Abstract

The need for accurate and easily accessible prayer time information is essential for Muslims in performing worship on time. However, conventional prayer time display devices generally still have limitations in terms of flexibility and are not yet integrated with internet-based technology. Therefore, this research aims to design and develop a digital alarm clock as a time indicator and prayer time display based on an ESP32 web server. The system utilizes the ESP32 microcontroller as the main control unit, integrated with a WiFi module, a TFT LCD as the display medium, a buzzer and speaker as alarm indicators, and a GPS module to obtain geographical location data. Prayer time calculations are performed automatically based on the user’s location coordinates, allowing the prayer schedule to adjust in real time. In addition, the ESP32 operates a local web server that enables users to configure time settings, alarms, and prayer schedules through a web browser over a WiFi network without requiring additional applications. The research methodology includes hardware design, software design, prototype development, and system functional testing. The results show that the developed digital alarm clock system is capable of displaying time and prayer schedules accurately and provides ease of configuration through a web-based interface
