Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using the High Range Water Reducer (HRWR) additive Consol P200-R1 S in concrete mixtures with water content variations on slump value, unit weight, and compressive strength. A laboratory experimental method was conducted using a fixed dosage of 0.8% Consol P200-R1 S by weight of cement, with water reduction variations of 0%, 30%, 40%, and 50%, alongside normal concrete as a control. Cylindrical specimens (15 cm x 30 cm) were tested for compressive strength at 1, 3, and 28 days according to SNI standards. The results showed that the highest slump flow was achieved by the mixture with 0.8% Consol without water reduction (430 mm). All variations met normal-weight concrete criteria, with unit weights ranging from 2,278 to 2,395 kg/m³. At 28 days, adding 0.8% Consol without water reduction decreased compressive strength to 14.88 MPa compared to normal concrete (20.43 MPa). However, combining 0.8% Consol with water reduction significantly increased compressive strength, reaching a peak of 40.13 MPa at 50% water reduction. This study concludes that Consol P200-R1 S effectively enhances concrete compressive strength when combined with optimal water reduction.
