Abstract

The research was conducted by measuring insulation resistance using an Insulation Tester on the windings against ground (U-G, V-G, W-G) and between windings (U-V, U-W, V-W) for 10 minutes. The measurement data was used to calculate the insulation resistance value and Polarization Index (PI) as indicators of motor insulation condition.
The research results showed average insulation resistance values of 147.77 GΩ; 151.05 GΩ; 120.58 GΩ; 175.08 GΩ; 169.74 GΩ; and 190.50 GΩ, respectively. The PI values obtained were 2.56; 2.55; 2.03; 2.82; 2.20; and 2.47. All insulation resistance values were well above the recommended minimum limits, while all PI values exceeded the minimum standard of 2.0 according to IEEE 43-2013
