Abstract

Temperature stability is an important factor in maintaining food quality during the delivery process. This study aims to design and implement an Internet of Things (IoT) based temperature control system for a food delivery box. The system employs an ESP8266 microcontroller, a DS18B20 temperature sensor, a 12 V 50 W PTC heater, a relay module, and the Blynk application for remote monitoring and control. Temperature data are monitored in real time via an LCD and the Blynk application, while the temperature setpoint is adjusted using Push buttons. The system operates in a semi-automatic manner and applies a hysteresis mechanism to maintain temperature stability. Experimental results show that the DS18B20 sensor provides good measurement accuracy with an average error of 0.17°C. The system is able to reach and maintain the temperature around the specified setpoint and display temperature data in real time. The 12 V LiFePO₄ battery supplies stable power to the system under various setpoint conditions. Therefore, the proposed system meets the research objectives and can be applied as a solution for temperature monitoring and control in IoT-based food delivery boxes.
