Abstract
The research objective of this final project is one of the requirements for completing a third diploma. The formulation of the problem found by the author is how the port side completes the loading and unloading process at PT BUP Samudera Siak, what are the factors that affect the length of the roll paper loading and unloading process at the Tanjung Buton Industrial Port and what efforts must be made to overcome the length of the process loading and unloading of roll paper at Tanjung Buton Industrial Port. The purpose of this study was to identify and explain the procedures for the factors that influence the length of the roll paper loading/unloading process at the Tanjung Buton Industrial port and to find out what is involved in operations at the port. The method used for data collection is the method of observation or observation, interviews or interviews, literature study and documentation. The results of this study, the first is about the factors that affect the length of the roll paper loading process, due to the inefficient port captain with warehouse people, lack of loading and unloading equipment, problems with trailer trucks, delays in trailer truck drivers taking roll paper, and bad weather. The two efforts are to overcome the length of time for loading roll paper, the importance of prior communication, improving facilities for loading equipment for roll paper, improving the quality of workers at the Tanjung Buton industrial port, and preparing or completing documents in a timely manner when needed.
