Abstract

The problem that the author found in this study was the status of the container in the flow of goods delivery activities at PT Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines. The purpose of this research is to determine the circulation process of container status and to find out the inhibiting factors for the circulation of container status at PT Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines. The place of this research was conducted at PT. Salam, Pacific Indonesia Lines, Villa Marina shop complex, Block B, No. 05. which was carried out from February to August 2023. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method, and a data collection method with direct field observations, interviews or interviews addressed to related parties, and documentation studies used by the author to obtain information related to the problem being studied. The results of this study, the first regarding the circulation of container status at PT Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines, starting from the initial status of FOB to FXD to FAC to MTA to MAS to FTL and back to FOB which has been running properly and correctly, this can be proven by the rotation of circulation of container status which is running properly. Second, the inhibiting factors for the circulation of container status are the length of time for customers to take care of goods release orders (SPPB), bad weather, heavy equipment being damaged, and delays for drivers picking up containers.
