Abstract

Infrastructure development is very important for Indonesia because it affects economic growth in Indonesia. One of the infrastructures that can accelerate economic growth is in terms of transportation such as roads, bridges and so on. Occupational accidents in road works projects are classified as large, meaning that work safety procedures are not carried out properly, especially when the work environment is directly adjacent to traffic density causing accidents to occur to workers and road users. To reduce work accidents in every construction, companies are required to apply rules in occupational safety and health (K3) which are carried out by all workers and related leaders in the company. In the results of the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) document, Government and Business Entity Cooperation (GBEC) Project for the Preservation of the Riau East Cross Road which has identified the hazards and risks. Therefore a Job Safety Observation (JSO) was carried out to improve the quality of work safety implementation. Based on the results of an evaluation of the application of JSA to the Riau East Cross Road Preservation PPP Project, rigid pavement works using the JSO method. It can be concluded that from the results of all forms of hazard control based on the JSA, there are twenty nine control instructions, out of twenty nine forms of control, twenty five forms of control have been implemented in the field and four controls have not been implemented in the field. The results of implementing JSA in the field are based on observable controls in the field of eighty-six percent of the hazard control measures that have been implemented.
