Abstract
The problem in this final project research is related to the safety management system on the KMP roro ship. Swarna Dharma and KMP. Archipelago Persada. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the safety management system during the loading and unloading of passenger vehicles, and to determine the efforts made in implementing the safety management system during the loading and unloading process on the KMP roro ship. Swarna Dharma and KMP. Archipelago Persada. The methods used for data collection are observation, interview, and documentation methods. The theory used is implementation, safety management systems, processes, loading and unloading, ships, roro ships. The results of this study are that the implementation of the safety management system on roro ships has not been maximized as a whole, and the efforts made to improve the implementation of the safety management system are conducting risk identification, participating in training and education, carrying out routine supervision, carrying out periodic maintenance and inspections, and conducting communication and reporting.
