Abstract

KMP Ro-Ro Ship. Permata Lestari 1 is one of the transportation facilities of choice for short-distance crossings with the Bengkalis – Sei Selari route, because it has the ability to load and unload in a short time. This ship also makes it easier for passengers to bring vehicles when crossing. In designing a ship stability is the most priority because stability is the key to safety for a ship. Stability is the ability of a ship to remain balanced so that it remains upright and returns to its original position when it is subjected to shocks or external forces. The problem with the ship is that it is not known in what scenario conditions this ship cannot float and sink when it has leaks in several compartments and tanks. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out an analysis related to damage stability on the Ro-Ro kmp ship. Permata sistence 1. In this analysis, we simulate 4 scenarios. The results of the damage stability analysis of the Ro-Ro kmp ship. Permata lestari 1 with 4 leak scenarios in several tanks and compartments for the largest GZ value with a value of 3.78 in scenario 3 and for the smallest GZ 3.014 in scenario 2. The higher the GZ value on the ship, the better the stability of the ship and vice versa.
