Abstract
In an organization or company, joint decision-making is often carried out in the form of meetings to achieve results that are agreed upon by all members involved. At the Bengkalis State Polytechnic campus, especially in the informatics engineering department, so far they are still using WhatsApp to distribute meeting invitations. However, this method has a weakness because the invitation message can be overwritten by other messages and make the lecturer forget or not read the invitation. Likewise with information related to meetings such as minutes, agenda, and meeting attendance. Therefore, researchers are trying to overcome this problem by creating an application that can help the meeting process and make it easier for informatics engineering lecturers to get information related to meetings. This research is entitled "Application of the Rapid Application Development Method in Informatics Engineering Department Meeting Applications" and uses the RAD method with the CodeIgniter framework. The results of the study show that applications built according to user expectations, this application can assist meeting agendas and make it easier for informatics engineering instructors to obtain information about department meetings as well as testing application features to prove that this application functions properly and meets existing needs.
