Abstract

High Speed Craft (HSC) is a ship with high speed for civilian use. One type of HSC is a Crew Boat, a crew boat is a ship specifically used to carry supporting equipment in offshore drilling work such as personnel, fuel and others. Due to uncertain ocean conditions, it requires a shipping expert to design a ship with good seakeeping. In this study, the addition of bilge keel to the crew boat was analyzed to reduce seakeeping by using four bilge keel angles, namely 15° bilge keel angle, 30° bilge keel angle, 45° bilge keel angle, and 60° bilge keel angle. From the results of the analysis that has been carried out, it shows that the addition of a bilge keel can reduce the amount of movement on the ship. For the results of the ship's seakeeping analysis, it was found that the response from heave and roll movements on the 45° bilge keel had a better response than other models with RAO heave values of 2,369 m/m and roll 4,503 deg/m, while for pitch movement responses using the bilge keel 45° angle with an RAO value of 2.815 deg/m.
