Abstract
To identify efforst and strategies toimprove supervision and monitoring of beacon bouys installed in shipping lanes in the rupat strait and malacca strait. The approach method used is the normative jurisdiction. The reseacrh spesification in this writing is descrptive analysis used is a qualitative approach to primary data trough interviews and observations and secondary data in the sttudy of legislation and books related to this research. Based on the reseach, it can be concludedabout the role of flare bouys for shipping safety with maintenance so that there is no damage so that the provision of information about the dangers of navigation in the shpping lanes can be conveyed properly and the navigation aids around the navigator determine the position of the ship, see the navigation hazards so that it can maintain the safety of shipping when entering awater area in an island or a port because of receiving clear information about the navigation hazards that exist around the waters.
