Abstract
This final assignment aims to find problems and obstacles in the process of departure of foreign tankers at PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental Port Dumai to find out what processes must be prepared and what obstacles occur when leaving and what documents need to be prepared and be taken into account when the foreign tanker departs. The method used to collect data is the observation method carried out directly in the field, the interview method aimed directly at one of the staff employees who is directly involved in the foreign tanker departure service process, as well as the literature study method used by researchers to collect data. from various sources. The location of this research was carried out at PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental Port Dumai which was carried out from March to August 2024. The results of this research were that the departure service for foreign tankers at PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental Port Dumai was not running very well because there were several obstacles that caused delays. the ship's departure time, such as employees' lack of understanding in clearing out via system and language communication, documents being issued late, bad weather, and a lack of internet connection when clearing out the ship
