Abstract
The research was conducted on public passenger transportation (buses) on the Dumai-Pekanbaru route. Primary data was conducted using a field survey, namely an investigative survey (interviews with related parties). Meanwhile, secondary data was obtained from related agencies. The aim of this research is to determine the amount of Vehicle Operational Costs (BOK) and tariffs based on the results of BOK calculations. On buses on the Pekanbaru-Dumai and Dumai-Pekanbaru routes, the calculations of this research refer to calculations that have been determined by the Decree of the Minister of Transportation KM. 89 of 2002. The research was carried out by taking the data needed to calculate vehicle operational costs. After collecting the data, the data is entered into the formula to obtain the vehicle operational cost results. In this research, the results obtained from calculating vehicle operational costs for outside the toll road and inside the toll road were Rp. 9,681.94/km, Rp. 8,441.04 / km (Marcedes benz bus) and 10,874.79 / km, Rp. 9,656.77 / km (scania bus) for buses owned by PT. Fajar Riau tourism, and for buses owned by PT.TAM Rp. 11,379.76 / km, Rp. 10,151.39 /km (Starada Volvo bus) and Rp. 9,705.30 /km, Rp. 8,496.88 /km (Hino bus). There are differences in the calculation results of the two companies, differences in results can occur due to several factors, including the choice of bus spare parts such as tires and oil, as well as varying bus prices. After looking at the operational costs of a vehicle, the tariff can be calculated based on the BOK so that it can be seen that the tariff is IDR. 50,038.19 / pnp, and Rp. 51,634.49 / pnp for buses owned by PT. Fajar Riau tourism, while for buses owned by PT. Tam is IDR. 54,062.42 / pnp, and 50,164.90 / pnp.
