Abstract

The decreasing ability of soil to absorb water is due to changes in land use, especially with the construction of the Civil Engineering Building at the Bengkalis State Polytechnic. The large number of cemented areas and small drainage measures around the building cause rainwater to overflow onto the road when it rains. To overcome this waterlogging, one of the proposed solutions is to use an Environmentally Friendly Drainage System (SDBL), including the use of biopore absorption holes. This research aims to determine the classification and permeability of soil, the design of Biopore Absorption Holes (LRB), and the number of LRB that can be applied in the Bengkalis State Polytechnic Civil Engineering Building Yard. The type of research used is direct testing in the field. The research results show that the soil classification in the Civil Engineering Building Yard is silt with an impermeable area of 267.57 m2. The Biopori Absorption Hole (LRB) design is designed with a depth of 50 cm with a distance of 16 meters. The LRB implemented in the Bengkalis State Polytechnic Civil Engineering Building is 14 holes.
