Abstract
This final project research proposal aims to find out the factors causing the delay in the loading and unloading process of PT. Pelindo 1 Belawan. The formulation of the problem during the loading and unloading process of PT. Pelindo 1 Belawan, namely what tools are used during the loading and unloading process and the container stacking yard.the place of this research is at the port of Tarahan Belawan which I carried out from April to August 2021. The target of the problem is to find out problems during the loading and unloading process of containers at PT. Pelindo 1 Belawan. The method used for data collection is the method of observation carried out in the field directly, the method of interviews or interviews addressed to related parties in the process of loading and unloading containers, as well as the literature study method used by researchers to collect data from various sources. As a loading and unloading company, you must know the procedure for loading and unloading containers, because these activities are the core activities of the operations of shipping companies engaged in the loading and unloading process.
