Abstract

The strength of the welded joints is influenced by a variety of factors, one of which is due to structural changes resulting from the heating process. In order for the connection between the two metal parts to be of good quality, it is necessary to have an appropriate welding and connection as well as the shape of the weld seam which is in accordance with the usefulness of the weld results. The parameters of welding using the SMAW welding machine include current strength, electrical voltage, electrical polarity, and the angle of the surface used. This parameter is what makes the basis of the right selection to get good quality or quality of connection. From this basis, this study was conducted to determine the effect of hemorrhagic variations on ultrasonic tests and on the tensile strength test results of welded joints from the welded joints of Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) on 304 stainless steel material. Kampuh V has a slight defect from the welding results using the I and Double V angle of the weld, as well as the 304 stainless steel material when the highest tensile stress test is found in the V with a value of 610.11 N / mm² which deforms the stainless steel material plastic.
