Abstract
Control system and observation of battery conditions in solar power generation systems using IoT-based NodeMCU ESP8266 is a tool that designs battery charging control and monitoring systems. All of these systems were built the aim of making it easier for workers to manage incoming power consumption when charging the battery while preventing battery damage so that battery life can last longer and the use of PLTS becomes more optimal. The purpose of this design is to develop how to monitor and control battery charging using internet of things technology so that the process of monitoring and controlling battery charging is easier to do. After testing the accuracy of the sensor, the voltage error value is obtained with an average of 0,97 %. In testing the 12 V / 7 Ah battery charging using a solar panel with capacity of 50 Wp, the battery charging time was found to be 4,5 hours starting from 10.00 to 14.30 with an average current of 1,74 Amperes. In testing the efficiency value of solar panel, an efficiency value of 10,42 % was obtained, and in testing the efficiency value of the solar charge controller, it was 89,31 %.
