Abstract
On Bengkalis Island, the types of durian use the name of the place or the name of the owner of the durian fruit. One of the durian producing areas on Bengkalis Island which is famous for its durian fruit is Bantan District. The types of durian in Bantan sub-district consist of durian basket, durian kasep susu, durian kasep guava, durian kasan durian native to the village, durian golden heart, durian starfruit, durian bongkek, and durian 101. Based on research on the diversity of durian fruit because there are none yet. data and research on durian fruit varieties in Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency. Therefore, researchers built software, namely a system for determining durian varieties by applying web engineering methods according to data obtained from sources or farmers and aimed to determine the diversity of durian fruit varieties that grow in Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency. The application of web engineering is a process of software engineering that is used to create and develop web applications so that they have good quality. A web application must apply the concepts of reliable, usable and adaptable (the system can be trusted, easy to use and the system can adapt). In this system the author uses the programming language PHP and MySql as a database system for determining varieties. This system produces a system that makes it easy for users to choose durian varieties.
