Abstract
In everyday life, there are many aluminum cans used for drinks around us, so they become waste that can disturb the cleanliness of the environment, and it turns out that so far they have not been treated properly by their recycling. This is because the largest canned beverage producer in Indonesia currently lacks a canned waste processing system. We also often see in the daily life of collectors of used goods, especially aluminum cans to press cans, they do this by stepping on or hitting the cans with a hammer so that the cans can be crushed or the volume reduced. the working principle of this tool is a pressing device that utilizes an electric motor driven from a Pneumatic Cylinder as a driver and then connected to a piston rod press to press the used cans, so that the pressing process occurs. It can be concluded from this tool that a motor with 2786 RPM can only press drink cans. In terms of construction, the machine frame should be made stronger and stronger to reduce the amount of vibration caused by motor rotation. The engine capacity is equal to the required number of revolutions, namely 34 cans/minute. There is an error value on the motor speed to the gear box of 21.5%
