Abstract
One of the typical Indonesian food products is tofu. Tofu is a food that is always produced by the community and has been a culture passed down from generation to generation, especially those produced by craftsmen in Rokan Hilir Regency. The process of making tofu in Rokan Hilir Regency still uses manual methods for mixing, one of the stages in the process of making tofu is boiling the soybean porridge. Apart from determining the quality of the product, the mixing process is also a stage that requires a lot of energy and time. When making tofu, you must always stir during the kneading process so that the mixture is even, so that a crust does not form at the bottom. Apart from that, according to partners, the kneading process has a big influence on the tofu produced. Therefore, the author made a tofu kneading machine with a capacity of 100 liters/process which is capable of kneading tofu in 20 minutes/process. using an electric motor type 0.5 hp and a speed of 1450 rpm. The design of this tool can be useful and help workers in the tofu mixing process so that it is faster and more efficient.
