Abstract
To become an expert engineer in the field of ship construction, of course, must be supported by several learning equipment in the form of tools or models that are able to assist teaching staff during lecture activities, to facilitate students'understanding of ship construction. Therefore the author tries to propose an idea to make a tanker construction model, based on the results of the construction calculations on the midship section of the Tanker ship using ClassRINA, which is calculated in the form of: ivory distance 0.67 m, keel plate with a width of 1.29 m and 12.5 mm thick, and some other calculations. Furthermore, the construction of a tanker ship midship construction model with a scale of 1:25 was carried out using PVC board and PVC profile materials, this model will be able to increase students' understanding by seeing the model construction firsthand.
