Abstract

The steam turbine generator is a widely utilized steam-powered electricity generator in industrial applications. The residual condensed steam from the process of converting steam energy to mechanical energy is collected in a condenser tank, necessitating the implementation of a device capable of regulating the level within the condenser tank. The objective of this report is to elucidate the methodology for controlling the condenser tank level in Turbine Generator-3 through the utilization of the Yokogawa YS1700 level control system. The YS1700 is employed as a tank level controller by modulating the opening and closing of the blow-out control valve and circulation control valve in accordance with input provided by the level transmitter The results of controlling the two control valves work in reverse on a scale of 0-100, for example when the blow out control valve is open 25 %, the circulation control valve is open 75 %.
