Abstract
This study aims to find out the effect of using Spent Bleaching Earth (SBE) as a filler in AC-BC asphalt concrete mixtures on Marshall characteristics. This research was driven by the need for road infrastructure development in Indonesia which requires high quality asphalt with the right filler. The use of SBE as filler is expected to reduce industrial waste while meeting road construction standards. The results showed that the mixtures with 60% SBE met the 2018 Bina Marga Standard specifications, with an optimum asphalt content percentage of 6%. This mixture showed good stability and load-bearing ability. The use of SBE as an alternative filler in asphalt concrete mixtures not only helps reduce waste but also has the potential to improve pavement quality. This research contributes to more environmentally friendly and efficient road construction practices in Indonesia.
