Abstract

Muntai Village in coastal areas prefers to use Drilled Well Water as a water source, but from interviews with people in coastal areas, they still do not get clear water quality so efforts need to be made to improve the quality of bore well water. Therefore, this study discusses how to make a water purification filter using the stacked pipe method that was invented by Arie Fafa, with a pipe size of 4 inches and a pipe length of 60 cm. In 1 water purification filter, three PVC pipes are needed. In this study, it is known that the value of measuring the acidity level (pH) is the result of the water filtration test in the village of Muntai using a type of rice husk charcoal filter with an initial pH value of 7.12 and then after being tested for a week using water filtering, it gets a pH value of 7.57.
