Abstract
This final project report aims to find problems in the process handling of loading and unloading of fertilizers and to find out what obstacles are faced when carrying out the process of loading and unloading fertilizers at BUP PT.Samudera Siak. The method use in this study is data collction by means of observation and interviews, and qualitive data analysis techniques. Performance up BUP PT.Samudera Siak is one on the indicator needed for the smooth process of loading and unloading fertilizer in a planned and safe manner during loading and unloading operations. Loading and unloading of fertilizer can certainly increase productivity,both in terms of the number of fertilizer loads that can be served, time efficiency and safety during operation.Port Businees Entities are an important link in the marine goods transfortation system. The increase in the number of goods traded demands a higher role for. Port Businees Entities whith better performance so as to ensure the smooth transportation of fertilizer.The result of this reserch is that the process of handling fertilizer at BUP PT.Samudera Siak is curently good in accordance with loading and unloading operational standards, but there are still shortcomings in loading and unloading equipment, the area for stockpiling goods that must be improved in the future.
