Abstract
Most of the people in Kelemantan village are mostly engaged in fishing, including shrimp. The production of ebi shrimp in the village of Kelemantan reaches 1,000 kg per month. This shrimp drying group generally runs its business still using the traditional method by relying on natural sunlight for drying the shrimp. So that during the rainy season, where the sun is not too hot and often cloudy, their income decreases by up to 40%. The above problems prompted me to make a dried shrimp dried using a hotheater dryingusing this tool for about 2 hours while drying relying on sunlight was carried out for 2 days depending on the weather. So in making the dryer using this heater is expected to have a significant effect on improving the standard of living and welfare of local fishermen, especially the dried shrimp-drying group, and ultimately increasing the health, education and economic status of the community in general.
