Abstract

Attendance is one of the important things in the university environment. Attendance is used to record student attendance. At th Bengkalis State Polytechnic, the current attendance system is still done manually. This manual attendance process may occur in attendance and manipulate signatures and students often forget to take attendance. So that students don’t forget to take attendance and minimize attendance, the author proposes a web and android-based QR Code attendance system application. The web in the back end is managed by the admin, and android as the front end used by students to carry out the attendance process. This application has notification features (attendance reminder), selfie, LBS(Location Bate Service), manage lecture permits, and attendance history. The method in this research is protottyping. The result of this research is an attendance application that implements a web- an android-base QR Code that can be used by lecturers and students. Application testing using black box testing. And the resluts using blcak box testing, all system functionalities have been successfully tested.
