Abstract
The problem in this study is related to the loading and unloading process, as for the results of the study that the process of loading and unloading containers at the PT. Salam PacificIndonesia Lines Depot has not run optimally because the procedure has not gone well, obstaclesthat occur when loading and unloading often occur damage to tools and less extensive stackingfield. This research uses observation, interview, and documentation data collection methods. The location of this research is in the Depot of PT. Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines Belawan branch. Werecommend that the storage warehouse at PT Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines (Depo) open or serve in accordance with the goods service procedure, it is necessary to do shift work to serve loadingand unloading of goods 24 hours per day. With shift work in the goods storage warehouse therewill be no delays and the accumulation of goods back at the port dock and loading and unloadingof goods will run effectively and efficiently
