Abstract

A historical site is a place or area where there is information about historical relics. But in general, not many people know about the historical sites in Bengkalis. The lack of information media is also the background of public ignorance. Therefore, a publication media is needed to introduce these historical sites, namely by using Android-based Augmented Reality Marker Based Tracking technology. Making this application using Blender software to create 3D objects and Unity 3D software to create Augmented Reality applications. The purpose of this research is to help the public get to know the historical sites in Bengkalis by building interactive recognition media that can display photos and 3D objects from the site. Based on the results of implementation testing, this Augmented Reality-Based Application for Introduction to Bengkalis Island History can help the Bengkalis community and visitors who come to Bengkalis Island in recognizing the historical heritage on Bengkalis Island.
