Abstract

At the beginning of 2020, the world was shocked by the incidence of severe infections with unknown causes, which began with a report from China to the World Health Organization (WHO) that there were 44 severe pneumonia patients in an area, namely Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China, to be exact. on the last day of 2019 China. Then WHO announced a new name, namely Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) caused by the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). COVID-19 is transmitted through people who have been infected with the virus. This disease can be spread through water droplets from the nose or mouth. Therefore, it is important to have an automation system that can detect the use of masks and check body temperature automatically to maintain/prevent people who do not use masks and have high body temperatures from being allowed to enter places/rooms that are required to wear masks. The method used in the test is to create a device that works automatically to allow or block a person who has been checked for body temperature and health protocols before entering a room or building. The New Normal Door Cross system is used to check the use of masks used by objects by utilizing a webcam camera system equipped with an AMG8833 thermal sensor which will detect the temperature of the object. Testing the temperature sensor by comparing the AMG8833 sensor with the thermoghun obtained an average accuracy of 0.352%. This study has been tested as many as 35 trials and each experiment there are 3 scenarios, namely using a mask, not using a mask, and no object getting 100% results.
