Abstract

Planning and scheduling of machine maintenance is very important for industry to reduce the level of disturbances that occur in machines which will certainly affect the production process. In the machining process there are many kinds of tools for supporting jobs in industry, one of which is a lathe. Krisbow Lathe KW15-979 B8 is one of the equipment used for learning activities in the Department of Engineering, Bengkalis State Polytechnic. In order for the equipment to function properly and in a ready-to-use condition, it is necessary to have maintenance planning steps for the equipment. The maintenance planning for Krisbow KW 15-979 B8 lathe uses the preventive maintenance method. Maintenance steps taken include: maintenance work specifications, and maintenance scheduling planning. The objectives of the Krisbow KW 15-979 B8 lathe maintenance planning and scheduling are to optimize equipment life, minimize energy use, maximize production at low cost and high quality, provide accurate reports on equipment maintenance and optimize maintenance resources in order to obtain maximum keunt. The result of solving the problem is in the form of a maintenance schedule using preventive maintenance methods from weekly, monthly, quarterly to annual.
