Abstract
Noise is the occurrence of unwanted sounds including irregular sounds and sounds emitted by transportation and industry, so that in the long term it can interfere and endanger work concentration, damage hearing (health) and reduce work effectiveness. This study aims to determine the noise intensity of the Diesel Power Plant (PLTD) at PT. PLN (Persero) Bengkalis, and knowing the complaints of hearing loss caused by the PLTD noise source felt by PLN (Persero) Bengkalis workers. This study uses an experimental testing method using SLM (sound level meter), which tests per location and point by measuring the noise level caused by a PLTD machine at PT. PLN (Persero) Bengkalis. This research was conducted to obtain a statistical picture of the noise level value of PT. PLN (Persero) Bengkalis.
