Abstract

The section of Kayu Api Kuala Penaso, Talang Muandau District, Bengkalis Regency it’s connects from Beringin Village to the District Capital, with straight road conditions and has several sharp bend points. In geometric planning, there are three important points, namely horizontal alignment, vertical alignment, and cross-section,therefore it can be utilized for traffic operations quickly, smoothly, safely, comfortably, and efficiently. The problem it is necessary to re-evaluate the turn at that location. The purpose of planning to find alignment horizontal, by using the Geometric Planning Procedures For Inter – City Roads in 1997 method. There are 43 horizontal alignments with 38 Spiral - Circle - Spiral (S-C-S) and 5 Spiral - Spiral (S-S). Where Lc> Lc min (Lc min = 25 m), so that includes spirals - circle – spiral. Where R <Rmin and Lc <Lc min, thus including spiral-spiral. The radius that meets the requirements of R> Rmin is good for vehicle traffic.
