Abstract
Research on design and analysis of mini wind power plants as learning media (wooden taperless blades). The purpose of this research is to design and make prototypes of horizontal wind turbines as learning media. The blade design is done using the Qblade v0.97 application to determine the ideal type of airfoil, namely Naca 4412 with a width of 7 cm, length of 40 cm, and thickness of 1.3 cm. Solidwork application to get the technical drawing mall. In testing natural winds, the maximum value of wind speed is 8.9 m / s, producing an electric voltage of 19.7 V, currents of 0.9 A and 2882 rpm at 11.55 hours, wind power of 1025.15 W, generator power of 17.7 W In natural wind testing, the average value of wind speed 6.1 m / s can produce 15 V electric voltage, current 0.5 A, rotation 1612 rpm, wind power 1029.04 W, generator power 7.5 W. In artificial wind testing the maximum value of 6.8 m / s wind speed produces an electric voltage of 24.7 V, currents 0.37 A and 1479 rpm with a distance of 70 cm, wind power 1027.83 W and generator power 9.14 W. artificial wind testing the average value of wind speed 5.1 m / s produces an electrical voltage of 14.7 V, current 0.22 A and 1632 rpm, wind power can be 1029.33 W and generator power 3.23 W.
