Abstract

The over current relay protection trainer is a module designed as a learning medium for electric power protection system practicum. This protection trainer uses one protection, namely the over current relay (OCR) EOCRSS-05 which has three inputs and three outputs. In this thesis, the trainer module tests the over current relay setting and the delay time only. So knowing the level of sensitivity of the over current relay. The sensitivity level is seen from the test results using an incandescent lamp load with a current setting of 1 A. The sensitivity is seen when the measured load current of 0,8 A does not trip and when the load current is added it gets a value of 0,9 A tripping occurs. This proves that the OCR (over current relay) with a current setting of 1 A is really sensitive to overload or disturbance. Keywords: Trainer, Protection System, Over Current Relay
