Abstract
Employee performance appraisal at the Bengkalis State Polytechnic is done manually every year by the Head of the General Sub-Division(KASUBBAG). The assessment is carried out based on service orientation,integrity, commitment, discipline and cooperation which aims as one of the considerations for extending the contract for employees. This research aims to build an employee performance appraisal system by applying the rational unified process system development method. This research resulted in an assessment system involving Personnel as the user account manager, the General Head of Subdivision as managing the value recap, the Building Personnel as an employee appraiser and employees can see the monthly value and see the best employees for each month. The results of the implementation of RUP are Black box testing with result 1 which means that all functions are running well and usability testing gets a value of 100% so that this system is feasible to use.
