Abstract
The objectives of this research are: (1) to make the model of power plant using the cooking stove by using peanut combustion as heat energy source from the stove; (2) recognizing the characteristics and working of thermoelectric modules of type TEC1 12706 used as power plants; (3) power plant module using thermoelectric module that is made capable of charging the Samsung GT-E1272 Phone battery. The observed characteristics are the amount of electricity generated and the efficiency of the power generation model using the thermoelectric module with the source of the cooking stove over time. In this study a series of five thermoelectric modules and connected with a boost converter that serves as a charging Samsung GT-E1272 mobile phone battery. The voltage generated by the thermoelectric module is based on the difference of the hot side and the cool side of the thermoelectric module. In this study the thermoelectric was tested for 12 minutes using a series voltage, during the experiment the maximum voltage generated was 3.1 volts with 1.4 Watt power
