Abstract

The increase of vehicle theft cases that occur now is increasingly troubling community. The number of theft cases that occurred, it make us shoud be more vigilant when parking the vehicle. Vehicle safety factors become one of the important things that must be considered to prevent theft. In addition, based on statistical data, the accidents in Indonesia reached 120 people per day, this is unfortunate because many people die in vain on the highway. From many cases of accidents occurs in many users of two-wheeled vehicles or motorcycles, so in this case the driver who does not use a head or helmet. Besides as a protective of the vehice cases the helmet aso accident as well as a protector of various kinds of objects outside the air. Automatic helmet switches for on / off system safeguards on motorcycles is a device designed as a tool that requires motorcyclists to use a helmet before lacing. This tool can also function as a safety motorcycle if in case of theft, because if someone wants to turn on a motorcycle must use or wear a helmet and then turn on the motorcycle lock. If these two conditions are not met then the motorcycle will not Active. By using serial communication and only requires a voltage of 5 volts this tool is able to work well. Based on the overall test the equipment is able to communicate with a distance of 480 cm and the percentage error rate of 6.6%
