Abstract

Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is an approach in Preventive Maintenance that can be used to evaluate facility effectiveness. TPM is a maintenance approach that focuses on the equipment so it is suitable to be applied to an agency that has a generator engine. The results of this research applied to 200 kva caterpillar genset machine and perkin 60 which is a power plant machine in Bengkalis State Polytechnic campus. Method of care needs to be improved (maintenance). Treatment can be done routinely by the operator to extend machine life and extend breakdown time, using Autonomous Maintenance method. Implementation of this method is expected to increase the durability of the machine, so the machine does not often experience a breakdown. The solution to make improvements by enabling the concept of Total Productive Maintenance which includes autonomous maintenance and maintenance scheduling system
