Abstract

ST 40 steels include low carbon steel with a carbon content of less than 0.3%. This shows that this steel has a tensile strength of ≤ 40 kg / mm². By welding using SMAW welding system and angle variance 60o, 70o, 80o analysis of angle effect on electrode brand used NK 68 6013 and NIKKO 68 6013 with diameter 2.6 mm. Testing bending test conducted to determine whether the influence of angle to the type of brand electrode welding SMAW system to the strength of bending test so that later can be taken conclusion from the test results obtained calculation points to be done analyzes whether the brand electrode and variance of the angle affect kutan of steel ST 40
