Abstract
The role of information technology in organizations is very important in processing data into permanent information and in accordance with organizational needs. In facing competition in the current era of globalization which is developing very rapidly, it is very important for companies to adapt. At this time, applying for practical work is still done manually, so it is difficult for students to get information on where to do the internship as desired. One of the companies that received internships was the Office of the Office of Communication, Statistical Informatics and Encryption (DISKOMINFOTIKSAN) Dumai City. Research at the Dumai City Statistical Informatics and Encryption Communication Service Office (DISKOMINFOTIKSAN) wants an Internship Application in which the application contains features for accepting apprenticeships and an apprenticeship attendance. Therefore a Website-Based Internship Application was developed which has been tested and produces experimental results in the form of displaying attendance recap reports, tracking letters, and attendance by scanning barcodes. This application is designed using the programming language PHP and MySQL as its database management system.
