Abstract
The search for boarding houses on the island of Bengkalis, especially in the Bengkalis State Polytechnic area, still uses simple methods such as visiting the location to see the boarding houses. This method makes it difficult for searchers to compare rental prices and required facilities. To overcome this problem, researchers have designed and built an Android-based boarding house search application as a solution. This application was designed with the aim of helping students find boarding rooms and assisting boarding house owners in promoting their boarding houses. The programming language used in the development of this application is Dart, with a MySQL database connected using a RESTful API. In addition, application testing is carried out using black Box testing, where testing on the side of boarding house seekers and boarding owners is carried out directly by testing all the features available in the application to ensure that the application runs successfully and is as expected. However, regarding applications that are built to be developed with the addition of an image upload feature of more than one image, at the time of adding the boarding house owner's information, so that boarding house seekers can see the condition of the boarding house through the pictures added,
