Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the implementation of ship fumigation in an effort to eradicate pests in ports. The formulation of the problem is what factors cause fumigation on ships, what efforts can be made to overcome the development of pests on ships, what materials are most effective to use to eradicate pests, and what is the agency's role in ship fumigation. The research method used is direct observation of the implementation of ship fumigation at the port, interviews with executive officers, and collecting documents to support research. The results showed that the factor causing the fumigation was due to the presence of pests. In addition, the use of chemicals in fumigation must consider the impact on the environment. The conclusion from this study is that the implementation of ship fumigation is an effort to eradicate pests at ports and cleanliness at ports and on ships must be improved again.
